This is the epic thriller that we've all been waiting for!

I have long been a fan of Terry Goodkind’s books and have enjoyed his work for years. I received an advance reader copy of Nest and, after starting it, simply could not put this book down. Goodkind’s past work in the Sword of Truth series brought us through an epic adventure in a fantasy world. Now, Nest brings out a hidden underworld within our own. Fans of his other books will recognize his writing style and his attention to detail. As an information security professional, I found that the technology-related topics touched on in Nest were very well researched and had a very high level of accuracy.
To say that this is a thriller does not do it justice. In Nest, Goodkind has taken the thriller genre and, using his amazing storytelling skills, turned it on its head. He draws the reader into a realm of good and evil and brings these massive overarching concepts into day-to-day events making you question whether what you see is reality or just an illusion. Overall, Goodkind’s first foray into the thriller genre is a non-stop roller coaster of a read that leaves you aching for more.

A must read.

Much like a top notch marathon runner NEST keeps a fast pace without over extending itself and then, at the end, it gives that extra little push to finish stronger than you thought possible. This suspenseful thriller is full of thoughtful and provocative theory while staying frightfully close to the world in which we live; a perfect blend of the fictional and the realistic. If you love Koontz, Morrell, Highsmith, or Coben then I am sure you will love Goodkind.

As a Terry Goodkind fan I was stoked to see he was writing a book away from his norm but also a little nervous. This book was by far one of his most unique pieces he has ever done and in some ways better than his Sword of Truth books. He does a great job at establishing a modern day setting that makes you feel like the story is happening in the here and now. The characters are unique and feel so real. Actionwise the book sucks you right into it and spits you out wanting more. I highly recommend this book even if you have never read any of Terry Goodkinds books before. Simply amazing!
