About the Author
Ashok Robin, a native of India, was brought up in Coimbatore, a mid-sized industrial city in the southern state of Tamilnadu. He did his undergraduate work at the Government Arts College in that city. Later, he moved to the US, completing his MBA and Ph.D at SUNY-Buffalo. Currently, he is a Professor of Finance at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He lives in Rochester, NY. When he is not writing or teaching, he enjoys travelling—visits to Italy and India are especially cherished. He has published articles on a variety of topics in accounting and finance in journals such as the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Financial Management, Review of Accounting Studies and Journal of Financial Research. Having taught international finance courses to graduate as well as undergraduate students for more than 15 years, he decided to use his experience to write this book. This is his first book.

The most terrible text book ever

I will give this textbook rating as perfect "0" out of 100,000,000 scale. This book is a complete Joke. Very hard to read, very hard to get the main point of every single pharagraph, and totally content-unrelated questions are waiting for you afterwords. If you are not an Eglish speaker as a first language, don't even bother with this book. Do Not Take any of class if an instructor use this book. I cannot believe this complete junk book is still around. Simply, this is the worst text book out of my 20 years of the entire educational period. Grammar errors, typos, very strange way to phrase any explanations, which you would be confusing everytime you read. I just couldn't let it go. I had to come here and write a review for this "the most horrible book i have ever read".

Confusing, difficult to use, and a poor value

This textbook is not worth the cost. It is difficult to read, and the information is not particularly helpful, and the problems in the back didn't reinforce the material in the chapters. I purchased this book to go along with a class I took in International Finance. In the end I think that the book did more harm than good. I did well in the class despite the book rather than because of it. If you have any input into whether or not you purchase this book I would strongly encourage you not to buy.

The only good thing I have to say about this book (and the reason I gave it two stars) is that I got a significant amount of money when I sold it back to Amazon. At least in the end I wasn't out over $100. I don't think book was even worth $10.

ZERO stars! Worst textbook ever!

This is the worst textbook I have ever read in my life. As other reviewers have stated, most of the problems at the end of chapters DO NOT reflect the material in the chapters. Therefore, trying to figure out how to solve the problems is extremely difficult/frustrating. All my classmates agree. Also, the author does not know how to explain the topic in a simple manner without making it confusing. Despite this I manage to do well in my class by learning the material via youtube and googleing certain topics. I hope the author never writes another textbook again. I will be using this textbook as fire wood, that is the only thing it's useful for.

Yea! A new series from Terry Bolryder and it is a winner!

As expected this is another winner. Terry Bolryder manages to entice us with hot, hunky guys and courageous curvy women--neither can resist or be resisted.

Carly and Zeus each are drawn to the other but not sure how to approach so they just smile --until Carly is threatened. Zeus isn't about to let anything happen to this special lady. They ride off into the sunset on his Harley. However--Zeus isn't the biker bad boy -- but threaten someone he cares about and he is bad. He takes her to his home in the woods to protect her.

Will that be enough? They are dealing with a dangerous gang. Of course Zeus has a few surprises and back up they may not be prepared to meet.

This is a love story, so how are Carly and Zeus supposed to find each other with all this going on? Leave it the the author, she's a master of getting the reader to fall for her characters, getting them into seemingly impossible situations and...yeah somehow managing the HEA. I loved every minute of this read and know you will too. She also hooked me into anxiously waiting for and I quote Ares--“Damn, now I just gotta find me one of these.” “What?” Carly asked. “A cute little mate to cuddle,” and of course Hades, who we have yet to meet.

Terry does it Again

I love Terry's books. I watch for the newest releases and grab them as soon as they are available. Her books a have drama, suspense, sex, alpha males and sassy woman. I love the depth of feeling she puts into her stories. Her books make me cry, sigh and laugh out loud.

What's next? I will be waiting and if you have never read her books... You should!

I love reading books by Terry. Her characters are always amazing! The settings are beautifully described, I almost feel like if I close my eyes I can see the very image depicted! Would work as a great stand alone book too, but once you read one you will want to read them all!

More than 5000 alphabetical entries include the people, places, items, and themes found in Arthurian literature written between the 6th and 19th centuries. The text goes beyond simple definitions, incorporating background on how individuals fit into a particular legend and/or their evolution as characters in the stories. Significant figures such as Guinevere and Merlin warrant several pages. While alternate spellings or names follow the main entries, they are not cross-referenced and there is no name index. A "Source Index" consists of an annotated listing of the hundreds of resources from which the editor drew his material. While some readers may find more detail here than they want, enthusiasts will find that they have tapped into a wellspring of information.

The legend of King Arthur and his knights and ladies has been around for more than a millennium. It probably began in the Dark Ages in Wales, as oral tales passed down through the years. Then it was picked up by the English, transmitted to Europe, and returned to England to be codified by Sir Thomas Malory. Meanwhile, Arthur had found a new best friend (Lancelot), a quest (the Holy Grail), and a place to live (Camelot). The Arthurian legend is best described as an amalgam of many writers' ideas, plots, themes, characters, and motifs.

To comb through 1,500 years of Arthuriana and find every name associated with it is a considerable task that Bruce has accomplished admirably. The extremely invaluable New Arthurian Encyclopedia (Garland, 1996) provides only 90 names (by design, it should be noted), whereas this volume has more than 5,600. It makes for both a fascinating read and a very useful reference tool. The work consists mostly of names of major and minor characters (Arthur, Gwythyr, Tristan, Petipace of Winchelsea), but there are also references to places, events, and things. The author has wisely made his cutoff with Tennyson's The Idylls of the King (1859^-1886) or the volume would be twice as long because of the current proliferation of Arthuriana. Each entry is listed alphabetically and depending on the subject can be very short or quite long. The entry on Arthur is nine pages long. It looks first at his historicity and how the legend around him developed. Then it notes what the texts say about the dates of his reign, how they portray his character, what insignia he carried, and where his grave is located. Entries are fully cross-referenced with the excellent appendix on sources that lists not only author, title, and date but provides brief descriptions, some keywords, and a note on the text that was used. This is a very useful work that most large public and academic libraries should have.

Christopher Bruce's encyclopaedic work is a magnificent compendium of all of the major 6th to 19th century Arthurian sources.
As a publisher of books and games based on the original Arthurian sources, I have turned to this book not as my 'Bible', but as a sort of 'Bible Concordance'. Which stories can I find Percival (or his many alternative names) occurring in?
I found this book to be worth ten, if not a hundred times its cover price in terms of compiling years of research into a single treasury of Arthurian knowledge.

As an avid Arthurian reader, I am amazed at the completeness of this wonderful reference. Nowhere have I ever seen such a valid and thorough resource. My son has loaned me his copy but I am looking forward to adding one of my own to my library. It is hard to believe that anyone could compile such a great volume so masterfully! Bravo, Mr. Bruce!

He has produced a profoundly complete and thoroughly researched scholarly work that is a "must read" for any student of the Aurthurian Legends.
